BOE's Bailey Says Feed-Through of Energy Shock Has Been 'Subdued'

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said the pass-through of higher energy costs to broader inflation has been "quite subdued" so far, speaking after the central bank held interest rates at 3.75%. Bailey added that "it is early days" regarding the full economic impact of energy price increases. The Bank of England's monetary policy committee voted to maintain rates at their current level.
