RTÉ boycotts Eurovision for second year in a row

RTÉ announced it will not participate in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, citing the situation in Gaza. The Irish broadcaster stated in a statement that participation "cannot be justified given the appalling and ongoing loss of lives in Gaza." This marks the second consecutive year RTÉ has withdrawn from the competition.
