Indonesia Steps Up E20 Bioethanol Push in Bid to Cut Oil Imports

Indonesia announced it would increase its bioethanol-blending target to 20% by 2028, doubling the previous goal. President Prabowo Subianto's administration is implementing the change to reduce the country's dependence on fuel imports. The shift involves mandating higher blends of ethanol, which is derived from domestic agricultural products, in gasoline sold domestically.
