Republican congressman presses NHL over Alex Ovechkin’s appearance in Putin party campaign ad

Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina called on NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman to review Alex Ovechkin's appearance in a United Russia campaign advertisement. Ovechkin, a Washington Capitals player, appeared in the ad for the Russian political party. Wilson's statement did not specify what action he believed the NHL should take.
