Amazon obtains right to buy stock in Generac, boosting power company's share price by over 40%

Amazon obtained warrants allowing it to purchase up to $340 million worth of Generac Holdings stock under a supply agreement for backup power generators for Amazon data centers. Generac shares rose over 40 percent following the announcement. The warrants give Amazon the right to buy Generac stock at a predetermined price over a specified period.
