Why optical stocks Lumentum and Coherent were the day’s biggest S&P 500 gainers

Lumentum Holdings and Coherent gained more than other S&P 500 stocks on the trading day. Both companies manufacture optical components used in data centers. An analyst attributed the gains to investor interest in companies further down the artificial intelligence data-center supply chain.
