A former Russian military intelligence officer named Yuri Khrameev offered $25,000 to a US citizen to track and kill a person in Vilnius, Lithuania, according to a US indictment. Prosecutors stated that Khrameev sought the killing of someone he claimed was "telling lies about Russia." The US Department of Justice brought charges related to the alleged murder-for-hire scheme.
