Trump’s law-and-order blitz marks one year with eye-popping haul of suspects, guns in blue city

The Memphis Safe Task Force marked one year of operation with 12,000 arrests and seizure of approximately 1,500 guns, according to task force officials. Crime in Memphis declined 36% during the period, according to data released by the task force. The operation began after the Trump administration deployed National Guard personnel to the city.
