Indonesia, Singapore Reaffirm Free Passage in Strait of Malacca

Indonesia and Singapore reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining open passage through the Strait of Malacca during discussions between the two nations. The Strait of Malacca is one of the world's major shipping routes, connecting the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea. Approximately one-third of global maritime trade passes through the strait annually.
