GM updates its trucks’ native software to coexist with CarPlay

General Motors updated the software in its trucks to reduce the number of taps and swipes needed to access frequently used controls. The company added picture-in-picture display functionality for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This represents a shift from GM's previous position opposing phone mirroring integration in its vehicles.
