Michael J. Fox receives standing ovation at 2026 Emmys for Parkinson's disease advocacy work

Michael J. Fox received a standing ovation at the 2026 Emmy Awards ceremony while accompanied by his wife Tracy Pollan. Fox stated that his foundation is "close" to a Parkinson's cure. The Michael J. Fox Foundation, which he established, funds research into the neurological disease that Fox was diagnosed with in 1991.
