Fast walkers in their 80s cut their risk of cognitive decline by half, study finds

A study of people 80 and older found that those who walk at faster speeds have approximately 50% lower risk of cognitive decline compared to slower walkers. Researchers measured walking speed and tracked cognitive outcomes in the study population. The findings show a correlation between walking speed and cognitive function in older adults.
