Saudi Arabia may be just days away from not being able to export much oil
Monday, September 14, 2026
Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline is shut down, reducing the country's ability to export oil from its eastern fields to the western Red Sea coast. The pipeline typically carries crude from the Persian Gulf region to export terminals on the Red Sea. Saudi Aramco, the state oil company, has not announced a timeline for resuming operations. Global oil prices increased following reports of the shutdown.
