Alaska moose hunter miraculously survives ambush brown bear attack, says he 'blacked out'

Gavin Haakenson charged a brown bear from approximately 10 feet away near Alaska's Killey River during a moose hunt. His hunting companion fired a pistol at the bear, which ended the attack. Haakenson said he lost consciousness during the encounter. Alaska State Police and wildlife officials responded to the incident.
