Monte Paschi Vows to Keep Up Bids Even If Intesa Takes It Over

Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena said it would continue pursuing its offers for Banco BPM and Banca Generali if Intesa Sanpaolo acquires it. The Italian bank made the statement as Intesa has moved to acquire Monte Paschi. Monte Paschi had previously announced bids for both Banco BPM and Banca Generali.
