South Korea’s $1.4 Trillion National Pension Fund Picks New CIO

South Korea's National Pension Service appointed Kyuhong Lee as chief investment officer to oversee its 1.4 trillion dollar portfolio. Lee takes over the role following investment returns of 5.6 percent in the first half of 2026, according to the National Pension Service. The fund manages retirement savings for South Korean workers and ranks among the world's largest pension funds by assets under management.
