Kyrsten Sinema questions whether moderates still have a place in the Democratic Party

Kyrsten Sinema, the former U.S. Senator from Arizona, said Democratic Party leaders made clear they did not want her in the party. Sinema left the Democratic Party in March 2022 to become an independent and later switched to the Republican Party in July 2024. Her comments reflected her view that the party had moved away from politicians holding her policy positions.
