Sunday, September 13, 2026
A train was struck near the Poland-Ukraine border on the same day former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other European officials traveled through the region. Johnson said in a statement, "I don't know what warped logic drove Putin to blow up a stationary Ukrainian locomotive on the Polish border this morning." Russian forces have not publicly confirmed responsibility for the strike. The incident occurred as Johnson was visiting Ukraine.
