Knife-wielding man races at officer in packed seaside park before one deadly shot rings out: video

A 44-year-old man identified as Michael Rodriguez was shot and killed by a Santa Monica police officer in Palisades Park after charging toward the officer with a knife, according to police bodycam video. The incident occurred in the park, which was occupied by other people at the time. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.
