Lockheed Martin leading race for $3.5 billion purchase of naval defense firm Ultra Maritime

Lockheed Martin is in the lead to acquire Ultra Maritime, a naval defense company owned by private equity firm Advent International, according to reports. The purchase price is valued at approximately 3.5 billion dollars. Ultra Maritime specializes in anti-submarine technology. The acquisition has not yet been finalized.
