Saturday, September 12, 2026
Blizzard Entertainment announced a new StarCraft title in development for 2030 that will be an open-world shooter. The company previously attempted a 3D shooter set in the StarCraft universe called StarCraft: Ghost, which entered extended development and was canceled in 2014 according to a statement from then-Blizzard president Mike Morhaime. The new project marks a return to the shooter format for the franchise.
