Energy Driven Inflation Complicates Fed Rate Call

Amanda Agati, chief investment officer at PNC, said on Bloomberg This Weekend that energy-driven inflation is creating complications for Federal Reserve policy decisions. Agati told hosts David Gura and Christina Ruffini that markets are pricing in expectations for higher interest rates and that additional tightening could result in a policy error. She also noted that investors are adjusting to a prolonged conflict in Iran and that strong corporate earnings have reduced focus on concerns about artificial intelligence spending levels.
