‘I still don’t have my MRI’: My health insurer canceled my plan without warning. Is that legal?

A consumer's health insurance plan was canceled by their insurer without advance notice. The canceled plan was not an Affordable Care Act marketplace plan but cost less than comparable ACA exchange options available to the consumer. The consumer reported still awaiting an MRI that had been scheduled before the cancellation occurred.
