Pilot declares mayday before seaplane comes down in New York City’s East River

A Kodiak 100 seaplane made a hard landing in New York City's East River near the NY Skyport terminal on Tuesday, snapping a wing strut. The pilot declared a mayday before the aircraft came down. Video footage showed the seaplane floating upright in the water following the landing. The National Transportation Safety Board said it would investigate the incident.
