CFTC Clears Faster Payouts for Tipster Awards Under $5 Million

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission said Friday it will automatically award whistleblowers 30 percent of enforcement penalties collected when the total payout is $5 million or less. Previously, the CFTC evaluated each award individually. The change eliminates the review process for smaller awards, accelerating payment timelines for eligible tipsters.
