Gen Zs recall first learning of 'deeply harrowing, terrifying' 9/11

Members of Generation Z who were born after September 11, 2001, have reported distinct memories of when they first learned about the attacks in school or at home, rather than memories of the day itself. The youngest members of Gen Z were not born until after the attacks occurred. Educational settings and family conversations served as the contexts where many in this generation encountered information about the September 11 attacks.
