Pennsylvania Data Center Limits Are a Threat to Gas Firms, Trade Group Says

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced new restrictions on data center development. The Natural Gas Supply Association, a trade group for gas producers, said the restrictions would reduce demand for natural gas from data centers operating in the state. Data centers require substantial electricity to operate and many in Pennsylvania use natural gas-fired power plants.
