Friday, September 11, 2026
Rudy Giuliani's spokesperson accused Mayor Zohran Mamdani of seeking political advantage following the release of 170,000 pages of records related to air quality after the September 11 attacks. Mamdani, New York City's mayor, has attributed health problems to toxic air exposure in the aftermath of the attacks. The records were made available to the public after being previously withheld. Giuliani served as New York City mayor at the time of the September 11 attacks in 2001.
