Hungary Debt Chief Sets Sights on 4% Long Forint-Bond Yields

Péter Banai, head of Hungary's Debt Management Agency, stated that long-term domestic bond yields are approximately halfway through a decline linked to the country's planned euro area convergence. Hungary has announced intentions to adopt the euro as part of its economic integration with the European Union. Banai indicated a target of 4 percent yields on long-term forint-denominated bonds.
