Russia’s Top UN Atomic Official Suspended Over Misogynist Screed

Mikhail Urinov, Russia's senior official at the International Atomic Energy Agency, is under investigation by the IAEA ethics office following publication of a self-help book in which he described feminists as "hysterical fanatics" and referred to gay and lesbian individuals as "perverts." Urinov promoted the book to an IAEA youth group, according to the IAEA. The ethics probe examines whether his conduct violated the agency's standards of conduct for staff members.
