9/11 hero Welles Crowther's firehouse president reveals what shaped the 'man in the red bandana'

Welles Crowther was a volunteer firefighter at Hanover Fire Company in New York before he died in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. Crowther was credited with assisting in the evacuation of approximately 18 people from the South Tower before the building collapsed. The firehouse president attributed Crowther's actions during the attack to the training and community values developed through his work at the volunteer station.
