Amazon will stop accepting new customers for Mechanical Turk

Amazon announced it will stop accepting new customers for Mechanical Turk, its crowdsourced task marketplace. The platform, launched in 2005, allows businesses to post small jobs such as data entry and content moderation that are completed by remote workers. Amazon did not specify a date for when new sign-ups will close or provide a reason for the decision. Current users of Mechanical Turk will continue to have access to the platform.
