Ancient cult discovered in region traveled by Apostle Paul before Christianity took hold

Nine ancient inscriptions discovered in Akmoneia, Phrygia, in present-day Turkey, document a Demeter fertility cult in the region. Apostle Paul traveled through the area during the first century. The inscriptions represent the first documented evidence of this particular cult's presence in that location.
