Fighting Wildfire Haze With an Airplane and Lots of Salt and Water

Authorities in Malaysian Borneo deployed cloud seeding aircraft to reduce smoke from wildfires in Indonesia. The seeding operation used salt and water to encourage cloud formation and rainfall over the affected region. Cloud seeding involves dispersing particles into clouds to promote precipitation and help clear air pollution caused by smoke.
