Automattic’s board forces CEO Matt Mullenweg into leave of absence

Matt Mullenweg, founder and CEO of Automattic, the parent company of WordPress.com, was placed on a leave of absence by the company's board. TechCrunch reported that Mullenweg posted to an all-employee Slack channel on Wednesday stating the decision was made against his will. The board took the action following unspecified internal matters at the company.
