Florida sues Netflix, alleges streamer tracked children after promising families privacy

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier filed a lawsuit against Netflix alleging the company collected behavioral data on children after representing to families that it would not do so. According to the complaint, Netflix used the collected data to develop an advertising business. Netflix launched an ad-supported subscription tier in November 2022.
