Apple’s John Ternus era begins: ‘It is great to be here’

John Ternus opened Apple's product event on Wednesday as CEO, a position he assumed following Tim Cook's departure. Ternus received a standing ovation from attendees. "First of all, thank you, it is great to be here," Ternus said at the event. Apple's last CEO transition occurred more than a decade ago when Cook took the role from Steve Jobs.
