America250 Looks Beyond July 4 Celebrations

America250 Commissioner Reginald Browne said the congressionally created initiative met its goal of engaging Americans in the nation's 250th anniversary celebrations. Browne told Bloomberg that private sponsors helped offset a federal funding shortfall and that he views the commemoration as an ongoing effort continuing beyond this year's events. He described the Trump administration's Freedom250 initiative as complementary to America250, saying it broadened participation in the anniversary.
