Reporter’s Notebook: 9/11 is just a history chapter for a new generation of Americans

Approximately 25 years after September 11, 2001, about one-third of Americans who were alive on that date have died, according to demographic data cited in reporting. The proportion of the U.S. population with direct memory of the attacks continues to decline as time passes.
