Lyft Sees a Future for Its Drivers in a Driverless World: Servicing Waymos

Lyft partnered with Waymo in Nashville to have former Lyft drivers service and maintain Waymo's self-driving vehicles. The arrangement offers employment to drivers whose work may be displaced by autonomous vehicle adoption. Lyft has not announced expansion of the program beyond Nashville or specified how many drivers are involved in the current operation.
