After Causing Delays for 9/11 Health Claims, Social Security Pledges to Do Its Job

The Social Security Administration did not provide required data for several months to lawyers processing compensation claims for individuals who became ill following exposure to debris from the September 11 attacks, according to lawyers involved in the cases. The lawyers stated the missing information delayed completion of claims. The Social Security Administration subsequently committed to providing the necessary data.
