LIV Golf filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, according to Bloomberg. The Saudi-backed professional golf league launched in 2021 with 54-hole tournaments and large purses funded by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. LIV Golf had competed with the PGA Tour since its inception.
