Bryan Kohberger's bid to oust judge and undo guilty plea moves forward with new court date set

Bryan Kohberger, convicted in the 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students, filed a motion challenging Judge Steven Hippler's impartiality and seeking to withdraw his guilty plea. Kohberger's legal team requested the judge recuse himself from the case. A new court date has been scheduled to address the motion. Kohberger pleaded guilty to the four murders in June 2025.
