LG TVs caught spying even when offline or on standby

LG smart TVs collect and transmit data about owners and their homes during offline and standby modes, according to testing by YouTube channel Gamers Nexus. The TVs scan Wi-Fi networks for nearby devices and record audio through their microphones during these periods. LG has not publicly responded to the Gamers Nexus findings as of this report.
