Pope urges Europe to do more for migrants as he visits gateway island

Pope Francis visited Lampedusa, an Italian island in the Mediterranean, where he paid tribute to migrants who died at sea at a local cemetery. During the visit, Francis called on European nations to increase support for migrants. Lampedusa is located between Europe and North Africa and has been a primary landing point for migrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
