Indonesia volcano eruption leaves 270,000 stranded as airports extend closure

Mount Anak Krakatau, located approximately 150 kilometers from Jakarta, began erupting late Friday. Airports in the region extended closure periods due to ash and volcanic material. Approximately 270,000 people were stranded as a result of the airport closures.
