The NBA fined the Los Angeles Clippers $30 million and removed five first-round draft picks following an investigation that found the team facilitated off-court income for player Kawhi Leonard in violation of salary-cap rules. Owner Steve Ballmer received a one-year suspension, and Leonard was fined $700,000. Bloomberg reported this represents one of the NBA's most severe disciplinary actions against a franchise.
