USS Lincoln Sailors Describe Toll of Deployment

The USS Abraham Lincoln completed a 286-day deployment that included 264 consecutive days at sea, according to Bloomberg News. The carrier arrived in Thailand for a port visit after months of operations in the Middle East. Crew members reported limited communications with family members, food supply constraints, and uncertainty about their return date, Bloomberg Southeast Asia Reporter Philip Heijmans said after visiting the ship.
