Canada Hits Back With New US Tariffs

Canada announced retaliatory tariffs of up to 50% on US goods effective September 8, targeting $27.6 billion of imports including steel, aluminum, pulp and paper, appliances and agricultural equipment. Bloomberg reported the tariffs are part of an ongoing cycle of trade actions between the two countries. The announcement follows US tariff actions against Canadian goods.
