AgBank, ICBC Plan Private Placements of Up to $38.7 Billion

Agricultural Bank of China announced plans for a private placement of up to 160 billion yuan, approximately $23.8 billion, according to Shanghai Stock Exchange filings. Industrial & Commercial Bank of China announced plans for a private placement of up to 100 billion yuan in a separate offering, according to the same filings. Both placements involve A-shares.
